Chubby Habbi's Mediterranean Grill
Located near the Raymundo Gate in UPLB is Chubby Habbi's Mediterranean Grill. It's a small restaurant with both indoor and al fresco dining area right in the middle of one of the university's busiest commercial and residential area.

Chubby Habbi's serves Mediterranean dishes such as shawarma plates, chicken biryani, lamb kebab, Greek salad, eggplant pizza, baba ghanoush and more. Aside from the taste that's close to genuine, Chubby Habbis' servings are generous that one can't dine-in and leave the store still hungry.

Because the store is small, only a few people can dine in at a time. One advantage of it, however, is that the crew can serve better. Each meat order is cooked/grilled so that it stays fresh.

My personal favorite from this restaurant is their lamb shawarma. It is so huge that I always eat it on a plate with a fork and knife. The pita bread doubles up the weight of the entire serving, and the very generous serving of the chopped lamb adds up to the tangy, Turkish flavor that's not so common in town.

When I'm on a light meal, I always ask for hummus or baba ghanoush. It's only Php50-60 with pita bread, perfect for any vegetarian who's on a budget.

Chubby Habbi's is a small wonder and it's one of the reasons to enjoy Los Banos!
